If you've been following along at home, (and really, who wouldn't be?) you know that we've been battling Dixon's anti-poo policy for about three weeks now. Well, let me just tell you that last night, all of our efforts (plus a horse-sized dose of laxative) resulted in a successful poo! I've never been so excited to see poo in my life.
I know all this poo talk seems a little

Hi! New to your blog, just linked over from a comment you made on Antique Mommy's blog. Just have to say, I feel your pain and your elation over poo! I have a 12 year old cat who recently went through the poo-withholding process. Not fun. We did the rush to the emergency room, paid for x-rays, had them give him an enema (which, from the sounds we heard from the back, he just loved) and then they never cleaned him up. Of course, with his long fur, we didn't notice this until the following night, when it had dried (blood and poo, so much fun to get off of long cat hair). And we went through the laxative buffet as well for about a week. We had the joy of adding the chicken flavored liquid (that cats love, but not our cats apparently) to his daily regime of thyroid pills, blood pressure pills, prescription food, and sub-q fluids. We often wore it to work (we took a few days to learn to give it to him BEFORE we got ready for work). Being a cat slave is just fabulous, isn't it? ;D
Yay for poo! I'm glad to hear he's back in business. Goodness knows it's no fun when you have a sick kitty.
